NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Dr. Adrienne Shnier
Apply Yourself began as a passion project back in 2015 when I realized the lack of customized support available for students and young professionals who were submitting applications for various opportunities for advancement - graduate and professional programs, professional promotions, and career transitions.
So there I was working on my Ph.D. dissertation at Starbucks, and applicants started to come to me for strategy and support through their application processes.
The rest is history.
I was struck by the lack of guidance in the world of applications. As I applied to medical school, my M.A., Ph.D., and J.D. programs, I hoped for support, advice, and strategy from “consultants,” but was disappointed by the cookie-cutter method and knew there had to be a more customized approach informed by actual experience on admissions committees.
This stress and overwhelm didn’t help - and I realized that I could help.
And then, I became a member of Admissions Committees.
For many of us, the application process can be overwhelming and exhausting if you don’t have the right kind of expertise and support at your fingertips.
My experience-informed system, structure, and strategy will help you develop materials that will allow your admissions committee members to advocate for you when the decision is out of your hands. Â
